Boston-based creative retailer, Concepts, has a great history of delivering clever and often humorous sneakers with their annual release of a holiday Nike collab. Past iterations have seen plays at the "Ugly Sweater" and other novelties, but this year the brand is turning their sights on Turkey Day with a "TurDUNKen" Nike SB Dunk High.
The sneaker features a variety of tongue-in-cheek antics that mirror the Southern holiday tradition of cooking a chicken inside of a duck inside a turkey for Thanksgiving. The concept comes to life via the sneaker, a chicken sock, goes inside a duck-inspired dunk, wrapped in turkey paper.
This special colorway takes on duck-inspired colors with iridescent blue and green Swoosh branding hits as well as a furry suede upper. Other details can be found on the tongue which reads "Duck High" and features an embossed Concepts logo on the inside.
The sneaker, and its special packaging, release first on Nov. 14 at CNCPTS.com for $249 but will see a wider release for select skate shops on Nov. 20 before making its final debut a la the Nike SNKRS app on Nov. 21 for $120 with regular packaging. Complete imagery and info can be found here.
